ingredients

  • l Unbaked 9" quiche’ shell or pie shell
  • Prick sides and bottom of quiche’ shell with fork.
  • Bake at 425° for 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Line pastry shell with foil and cover bottom with beans before baking. This helps prevent shrinking.
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp
  • l cup chopped ham
  • l/2 cup chopped or sliced green onions
  • 1 jar of sliced mushrooms, drained
  • l l/2 cups grated Swiss cheese
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • l cup Half & Half

    Put first 5 ingredients into pastry shell, ending with cheese.

  • 2

    Beat the eggs and add Half & Half, salt and pepper

  • 3

    Bake at 350° for 5 to 10 minutes or until set.

I prepared this recipe for the first time, for Donna Kirkpatrick's bridesmaids brunch. She is a great niece of Marvin's. Quiche' is considered a "girlie: meal, but is hearty enough for any "manly" man.
