NAPA Macaroni-Ham Bake
A special Mac & Cheese
ingredients
- 2 c uncooked elbow macaroni
- 4 c boiling water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp minced onion
- 1/4 c butter
- 1/4 c flour
- 1 c milk
- 1 c chicken stock
- 1/2 c Sauterne or other white wine
- 1/2 pound American Cheese, grated
- Dash of Nutmeg
- Salt & Pepper
- 12 ox chopped ham - 1/2 inch pieces
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- Buttered fine bread crumbs
- Paprika

Cook macaroni in boiling water 7 minutes - Drain
- 2
Saute onion in butter 5 minutes, blend in flour

Add milk & stock, cook stirring until mixture boils and thickens. Add Wine & Cheese; stir over low heat until cheese melts. Season with nutmeg, salt & pepper.

Combine sauce, cooked macaroni, Ham and parsley. Pour into greased casserole, sprinkle with crumbs and paprika.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Remove from oven - let rest 5-10 min.

Serve with salad or well seasoned veggies
