Campari and Soda
A bright red drink that is perfect for the Christmas holidays! Campari was made popular in Italy in the 1860s, and has a taste similar to bitter oranges.
ingredients
- 12-18 ice cubes
- 1 1/2 c. Campari (12 fl. oz.)
- 1 bottle (16 fl. oz.) soda water, or more if needed, chilled
- thin slices of orange or lemon peel or for garnish
directions
- 1
Chill 6 glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes (not Waterford!).
- 2
In each glass, place 2 or 3 ice cubes and pour in 1/4 c. (2 fl oz) of the Campari. Add 1/3 c. (3 fl oz) of the soda water, or more to taste. Stir and garnish with a lemon or orange peel.
notes
This was another drink that we made for our holiday party in 2007. Again, not many takers! But I loved it! And so simple to do!
