Mrs. Field's Chocolate Chip Cookies
ingredients
- 1 lb. butter softened
- 2 C sugar
- 2 C dark brown sugar (packed)
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tbsp Mexican vanilla
- 6 C flour
- 1 - 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 - 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 C chopped walnuts
- 6 C chocolate chips

Beat butter until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mix 3 to 4 minutes.

In a separate mixing bowl combine all dry ingredients. Add to butter a cup at a time. Dough will be dry.

Add chopped nuts and chocolate chips with a spoon or mix with your hands. Do not use the electric beater at this point.

Scoop with small size ice cream scoop onto cookie sheet.

Bake 350° - 8 to 10 minutes,

Do not overbake as cookies will appear to be undone but disregard otherwise they will bake too long and become dry and hard
