ingredients

  • 5-6 stalks of celery, cut-up
  • 1 large onion, cut-up
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 loaf bread
  • 3 pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • cut-up fresh herbs (parsley, oregano, rosemary)
  • 1/2 tsp sage

directions

Put celery, onions, salts & spices (including fresh herbs) in bottom of slow cooker. toast bread on cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 10 min or until toasted. Crumble toast over celery/onions. Place pears on top. Cook on low for 5-6 hours or until toast is moist.
