Delicious light dessert.

ingredients

  • 1/2 C. sugar (divided)
  • 2 eggs (separated)
  • 1 pkg. gelatin (plain)
  • 1/8 t. salt
  • 1/4 C. milk
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream

directions

In top of double boiler mix sugar, gelatin & salt. Beat egg yolks & combine with milk & add to sugar mixture. Cook for approx.5 minutes (until gelatin melts). Put in refrigerator until egg white consistency. Beat egg whites until peaks form. Whip the cream. Fold gelatin into the whipped cream & then into egg whites. Refrigerate. Can be put into mold--fruit on top.
