Green Beans Amandine
Perfect way to cook green beans to spice them up a little
ingredients
- 1 9-oz. pkg. frozen cut or French-style green beans or 1 can green beans
- 2 Tbsp. slivered almonds
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- salt and pepper
directions
Cook frozen beans according to instructions, drain. If using canned green beans, heat and then drain. Meanwhile, cook and stir almonds into melted butter over medium heat until golden. Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice. Stir almond mixture into beans.

For our holiday meals, we usually have these green beans amandine or green bean casserole. The family likes the former; only Cliff and I like the latter.
