Aunt Julie's Sausage Casserole

This is a great breakfast recipe from Aunt Julie.

ingredients

  • 1 lb pork sausage
  • 1 tube crescent rolls
  • 1 cup frozen has browns, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tblsp parmesan cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper

    Brown and drain sausage. Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles and place in a 12 inch pan with sides. Point the tips towards the center and press and seal perforations to form a crust over the bottom of the pan. Spoon sausage over the crust. Sprinkle with hash browns and cheddar cheese.

    In a bowl, beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour into crust. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a knife in the middle comes out clean.

When you double this you need to put it in a larger pan, like a 9x13 and bake it a little longer. She said it looked done, but had to bake a little longer as the eggs were not quite done.
