Polish Pecan Cookies
ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 3 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. water
- 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 2 cups pecan halves

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Cream butter and vanilla, add powdered sugar gradually, beating until fluffy. Add water and beat, then add flour in fourths, mixing until blended after each addition.

If necessary, chill the dough until easy to handle. Shape a teaspoonful of dough around each pecan half, covering nut completely.

Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake for 10 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
