Cajun Beans
ingredients
- 6 slices bacon, partially cooked
- 1 1/2 pound polish sausage (750 g)
- 1 (28 oz. or 796 mL) can pork and beans
- 1 (14 oz. or 398 mL) can kidney beans (drained)
- 1 (14 oz. or 398 mL) can lima beans (drained)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 (10 oz. or 284 mL) can tomato soup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cajun seasoning salt (add more to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Slice bacon into 1 cm slices. Remove casing from sausage and cut into thick slices.

In a large fire proof casserole dish, stir together all remaining ingredients. Add bacon and sausage. Stir well. Cover with a fire proof lid or foil.

Set grill on medium flame, close lid. Bake for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
