Chipas
An Argentinian cheese bread, that is absolutely addicting! Bread with small bits of melted cheese, makes a great starter for any meal, or just a small snack!
ingredients
- 1 pkg (32 oz) yuca Starch
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. warm and salted milk
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 pkg of red skin Gouda cheese, chopped very fine
- 5 oz of Parmesano/regiano cheese, grated
- Save some starch to work with the dough.

1st beat the eggs.

Mix the starch with the baking powder, then the butter and the eggs. While mixing , pour the milk gradually to the dough. You have to work the dough till it begins to make some bubbles and them mix the cheese in a little at a time. This mixture will feel like you are making a wet glue mixture. Tear off some of the dough and form into a log about a foot long. Continue until you are out of dough. Freeze on a pan like this. Then after they are frozen pull them off the pan, and place them in a freezer bag. To cook. Cut into 1 1/2 inch sections, place them on a greased pan and cook at 420° for about 8-10 minutes, until slightly browned.
