Tortellini with Italian Sausage and Peppers

ingredients

  • 1 pg (9oz) BUITONI Whole Wheat Three Cheese Tortellini
  • 1 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3/4 C cooked and crumbled Italian turkey sausage
  • 2 tsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red peppers
  • 1 C chicken broth
  • 1/2 C sliced, roasted red peppers
  • 1/2 C BUITONI Refrigerated Marinara Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp sliced fresh basil
  • BUITONI Refrigerated Freshly Shredded Parmesan Cheese

    Prepare pasta according to package directions.

  • 2

    Heat oil in large, nonstick skillet over medium heat; add sausage, garlic, and crushed red pepper. Stirring occasionally cook for 1 minute or until garlic starts to turn golden.

    Add broth, peppers, sauce, and basil; cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

    Toss pasta with sauce.

  • 5

    Top with cheese; serve immediately.
