Southwestern Manicotti
ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 ounces Italian sweet sausage
- 1 - 16oz can refried beans
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 - 8oz package manicotti
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 - 16oz salsa or picante sauce
- 2 cups sour cream
- 6 oz shredded monterey jack cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

1. Grease a 9“x13” baking dish

2. In ca bowl, combine the uncooked ground steak, Italian sausage , beans, chili powder and dried italian seasoning.

3. Spoon into uncooked monicotti shells; arrange in prepared baking dish.

4. Combine water and salsa or picante sauce and pour over shells.

5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

6. Remove from refrigerator 40 minutes before baking.

8. Cover casserole and bake 1 hour or until meat is no longer pink.

9. Uncover; spoon sour cream over te top and sprinkle with cheese.

10. Sprinkle with green onions and bake 10 minutes longer until cheese is melted and bubbling.
