Barbecue Chicken Burgers
ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Fat-Free Chicken Broth -- low sodium
- 3/4 Cup Onions -- diced
- 1 teaspoon Garlic -- minced
- 24 ounces Ground Chicken Breast
- 1/2 Cup Low-Salt Barbecue Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Ground Thyme
- 3/4 Cup Whole-Wheat Bread Crumbs
- 1 Onion -- sliced and grilled
- Mustard
- 4 Six-ounce Whole-Wheat Hamburger Buns

1. Heat chicken broth in a small skillet over medium heat; add onions and sauté until caramelized, five to ten minutes. Add garlic and cook for five minutes more. Set aside to cool.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the onion mixture with all the remaining ingredients except the buns. Stir well. Form into four 6-oz. patties.

3. Coat a nonstick skillet with cooking spray, place over medium heat and cook burgers until no longer pink -- about five minutes per side. 4. Serve on buns with mustard and grilled onions.
