Linda’s crackerjacks (from a co-worker--best crackerjacks I ever ate.

ingredients

  • 2C light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 sticks margerine--not butter and not ligh--regular
  • 1-2 C raw shelled peanut
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1C light cornsyrup
  • 2 gallons popped corn

directions

  • 1

    Combine sugar,margerine corn syrup.

  • 2

    Boil for five minutes. Remove from hear and stir insoda and vanilla.Mix well.

    Pour over popcorn and mix thoughly.

  • 4

    Spread over two large ungreased baking pans.

  • 5

    bake in a 250 degree oven for l hour.

  • 6

    Cool on a wire rack.
