ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup corn flakes
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla pudding powder or custard powder
  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter

    Combine brown sugar, corn syrup and peanut butter in heavy saucepan. Place over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Add Rice Krispies and corn flakes and press into buttered 9" square pan. Chill (it).

    Combine icing sugar and custard powder. Cream butter and gradually beat in sugar mixture and milk. Spread over cereal base. Put back into fridge.

    Melt chocolate with 2 tablespoons butter over hot water. Spread over top of vanilla layer. Chill and cut into squares before chocolate becomes too hard. Store in the fridge.
