Fresh Pineapple Sherbet
ingredients
- 2 cups pineapple puree (puree fresh pineapple in blender)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup milk (you may use non-fat milk)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
directions
Mix sugar and water and bring to a boil. Cool. Mix puree with sugar mixture. Add milk and chill well in freezer before churning in an ice cream maker. Follow directions for your machine. Add lemon juice when you start the churning.
Note:
This recipe will not work without an ice cream maker, but is a wonderfully light and flavorful.
