Brunswick Stew

CarrieCarrie

I love this stuff. Most people have never heard of it, it’s a very southern dish but nobody makes it as good as my dad. After I had Beckam he made me a giant pot of it and we froze it in bags. It got me through the cold winter. I love to eat it with saltine crackers or cornbread and a cold glass of milk.

ingredients

  • 5 lbs ground beef
  • 5 lbs ground chicken
  • 10 lbs ground pork
  • 2 gallons yellow whole kernel corn
  • 3 gallons tomatoes
  • 12 oz bottle Worcestershire sauce
  • 16 oz catsup
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1 bottle Tiger sauce
  • 3 tbs salt
  • 3 tbs black pepper
  • 3 tbs Tony’s
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup Texas Pete hot sauce

directions

I grind all the ingredients in mine through a meet grinder. Some people use crushed tomatoes and leave the corn whole. Bring to boil then simmer until cooked throughly.
