Molyo (when the Brazilians say it, it sounds like Moi-yo)
I can’t resist posting this fabulous-sounding Brazilian recipe from cousin Nathan from over land and seas. “... it’s a sauce, the people who introduced it to me used it on meat and popcorn and vegetables and all manner of things, more or less in the same freewheeling manner you Aussies seem keen to slosh sweet chili on everything known to man.”
ingredients
- 1 onion (large, white)
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 3 bay leaves
- 3 red peppers, seeds removed
- 800g tomato sauce
- pinch of salt
- pinch of celery
directions
Blend together raw and keep in a squeeze/sauce bottle in the fridge for arbitrary consumption.
