Crock-Pot Dressing
A Holy Spirit recipe and a life-saver at Thanksgiving
ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 2 cups onion, chopped
- 2 (8 ounce) cans mushrooms
- 12 to 13 cups dried bread cubes
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 1/2 cup to 4 1/2 cups chicken broth (add more later, if needed)
- 2 eggs, beaten
directions
Melt butter and saute onion, celery and mushrooms. Pour over bread cubes and mix. Add the rest of the ingredients. Pack in a large crock-pot; cover and set on high for 45 minutes, then on low for 4 to 6 hours.

This is a winner. It saves space in the oven on Thanksgiving, is prepared early in the day and is very good tasting besides!
