ingredients

• 1 1/2 cup raisins
• 1 1/2 cup boiling water
• pour water over raisins and let stand till cool
• 3/4 cups sugar
• 1 tbs butter
• 1 egg
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 2 3/4 cup flour
