Beef Salad
Grilled Beef with Aroma Lime Dressing
ingredients
Dressing sauce- 2 Tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 TBS lime juice
- 1 TBS soy sauce
- 2 TS chopped fresh red chillies
- 2 TS soft brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 4 Cilantro roots, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoons ground pepper
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 400 g (6 oz) sirlon steak
- 1 small lettuce
- 6 oz tomatoes
- 1 medieml cucumber
- 4 shallots
- 1/2 cup cilantro leaves

1. Combine the chopped garlic and cilantro roots, black pepper, and olive oil - If you have a mortar and pestle, use it to finely grind the mixture.

2. Heat the remainning oil in the heavy-based frying pan or wok over high heat. Add the steak to the pan and cook for about 4 mins each side. Remove the steak from the pan and allow to cool - steak should be mid-cooked.

3. Meanwhile, wash the lettuce and saperate the leaves, cut tomatoes, cucumber into chucks and chop shallots.

4. Making dressing - Combine fish sauce, lime juice, red chillies, and brown sugar in a small bowl, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.

5. Cut the cooled steak into thin strips. Arrage the prepared lettuce on a serving plate, top with cucumber, and tomatoes.

6. Mixed dressing with steak, and put on the top of salad, and scatter cilantro leaves over the top.

Serve immediately.
