Easy Chocolate Mousse
The EASIEST chocolate mousse you will ever make!!
ingredients
- 5 1/3 oz. (150 g) cooking chocolate
- 4 eggs, separated
- (optional: 1 tbsp dessert liqueur)
- 1 1/4 cup cream
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Cream
- Grated chocolate

Break chocolate into top of double boiler. Stir over hot water until chocolate has melted. *Here’s where you add the liqueur if using* Allow to cool slightly. (Can also microwave to melt chocolate).

Stir yolks into chocolate. Beat until thick and smooth.

Beat cream until thick. Quickly fold chocolate mixture into cream.

Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Gradually add sugar, beating until thick and glossy.

Fold half egg mixture into chocolate mixture until well mixed. Repeat with remaining egg white mixture.

Pour into 4 to 6 individual dishes or one large.

Chill until firm. Serve garnished with whipped cream and chocolate.

CHOCOLATE LIQUEUR variation: Add 1 Tbsp. brandy, chocolate, or coffee liqueur to melted chocolate. Bailey’s works too. Can also freeze for ice-cream-like treat.
