Pannacotta with Strawberries and Balsamic Vinegar

ingredients
Pannacotta- 2 tbsp water
- 1 1/4 tsp unfalvored gelatin (1/2 package)
- 2 cups whipped cream
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 pints strawberries, hulled, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp epper

Dissolve gelatin in water. Let stsand until softened, abouot 15 minutes. Heat cream in a small saucepan with 1/2 cup sugar, until sugar dissolves and cream comes to a simmer (but not a boil).

Remove from heat, add gelatin mixture, stirring to dissolve. Mix with half and half. Pour into nonstick container, or lightly oiled container. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

For strawberries, toss with vinegar, sugar and pepepr. Let stand 30 minutes, tossing occasionally to coat in syrup. Spoon strawberries over pannacotta and serve.
