Jennifer Fishers Dinosaur Cookies

ingredients

Cookie Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 C butter, softened
  • 1/2 C sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vanilla
  • 4 C all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
Icing Ingredients
  • 2 egg whites
  • 4 C icing sugar
  • juice from 1/2 a lemon
  • food colouring

Cookies

  • 1

    1. Beat together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add sour cream, egg and vanilla.

    2. Gradually mix in flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

    3. Wrap cookie dough in saran wrap and chill for approximately 2 hours.

    4. Roll dough about 3/4 inch thick. Cut shapes.

    5. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375°F

Icing

  • 1

    1. Beat egg whites until stiff.

  • 2

    2. Mix in icing, sugar and lemon juice until smooth.

  • 3

    3. Separate into 2 bowls and add food colouring.

  • 4

    4. Cover all cookies in one colour and outline details in the other colour.
