Johnny Marzetti Recipe
ingredients
- 2 PKGS. shell or Elbow Macaroni
- 2 LBS. Ground Beef, seasoned and browned
- 1 C chopped green pepper
- 1 C chopped yellow onion
- 1 C sliced Mushrooms, lightly sautéed - I use 1 jar of sliced mushrooms drained
- 3 C grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 Can tomato sauce with bits (When I can’t find this, I use 1/2 can Italian tomato sauce and 1/2 can regular tomato sauce)
- 2 CANS tomato soup

Cook macaroni according to directions.

Brown and season ground beef. I season my ground beef with salt and fajita seasoning. Sometimes you can find Taco Bell fajita seasoning mix.

To the sautéed mushrooms add the chopped green pepper and chopped onion, and then add the tomato sauce and the tomato soup.

After this mixture has been warmed, add the browned and seasoned ground beef, then the macaroni.

Place this mixture in a casserole and top with the cheese.

Bake at 300 degrees for first 1/2 hour, then 375 degrees for the last 1/2 hour.
