ingredients

Vanilla Crust
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chilled butter, chopped
Filling:
  • 16 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
Topping:
  • 2 large, tart green apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts

directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, sugar and vanilla in medium bowl. Cut in butter. Press in bottom and up the sides of 10" springform pan. Bake until golden, about 5 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Increase oven to 450 degrees. Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add eggs one at a time. Spoon into crust. Mix topping ingredients. Spread evenly over cream cheese mixture. Bake 15 minutes. Decrease oven to 350 degrees. Bake 45 minutes. Refrigerate.
