Spinach Salad with Sugared Pecans
ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups pecan halves
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar, divided
- 1/4 cup Great Value butter of margarine, melted
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon, divided
- 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup Great Value olive oil
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. freshly cracked pepper
- 2 (7-oz.) pkg. fresh spinach
- 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
- 1 small red onion, chopped

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease baking sheet. Stir together pecans, 1/2 cup of the brown sugar, butter and 1/2 teaspoon of the cinnamon; spread nut mixture on the baking sheet.

2. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, stirring often. Cool and break apart.

3. Whisk together white wine vinegar, olive oil, remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar, salt, pepper and remaining 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon in small bowl; set aside.

4. Combine spinach, pears and onion in large bowl. Drizzle with vinegar mixture and sprinkle with pecans.
