toasted sesame seed sugar cookies
ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 teas. cream of tarter
- 1 teas baking soda
- 1/4 teas. salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teas. vanilla
- 2 jars mccormick toasted sesame seeds (divided)
- 2 ounces bitter sweet chocolate (melted)

preheat oven: 400’

mix flour, cream o tarter, baking soda and salt. beat butter on medium speed until light and fluffy. add sugar beat until well blended. beat in eggs and vanilla. gradually beat in flour mixture and 1/4 cup of sesame seeds.

refrigerate dough for 2 hours or until firm. shape into 1 inch balls. roll in remaining 3/4 cup sesame seeds. place on ungreased baking sheets. bake for 6 to 7 minutes or until lightly browned. cool drizzle with melted chocolate. let chocolate set.
