Fruit with Vanilla Custard
This is truly a treat! Fruit is good for you...right?
ingredients
Berries:- Bite sized strawberries
- raspberries
- grapes, cut in half
- blueberries
- Combine and sprinkle with sugar to taste.
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 2 T. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
directions

Heat milk and sugar in saucepan, whisking constantly.

In medium bowl, whisk together egg yolks. Pour small amount of hot milk into yolks stirring constantly to temper yolks.

Pour warm yolk mixture into saucepan and return to low heat. Heat over low for about 5 minutes until custard coats a spoon. Do NOT let mixture boil or it will curdle.

Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Stir until butter melts. Chill. Serve over berries.
