ingredients
- 5 cups yellow onions thinley sliced
- 3 TBLS vegtable oil
- 3 TBLS flour
- 1/2 cup burbon
- 2 qtr beef bouillon
- 1/2 tsp basil
- Toasted French or Italian, 1 slice per person
- 1/2 cup grated swiss cheese

In 3 quart pan sauté onions in veg oil until soft. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add bourbon, stir until smooth.

Gradually stir in bouillon. Season with basil.

Simmer 30 --40 min

Soup in bowls, bread, cheese Broil until cheese is golden and bubbly
