Layered Bean Dip

ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe avocados
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. dairy sour cream
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 package Lawry’s taco seasoning
  • 1 can chopped green chilies
  • 1 can Frito-Lay bean dip
  • 1 large green onion, chopped
  • 2 - 3 medium tomatoes, chopped (cored and seeded)
  • 1 - 2 cans sliced ripe olives
  • 1 package cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 package Monterrey Jack cheese, shredded
  • Tortilla chips

    Layers:

    1. Bean dip.

  • 3

    Mix: 2 cans bean dip. (For a larger batch, add 1 can spicy re-fried beans and mix in green chilies to taste).

    2. Seasoned avocado mixture.

  • 5

    Mix: avocados, lemon juice, salt, pepper and garlic salt to taste.

    3. Sour cream mixture.

  • 7

    Mix: sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning packet.

    4. Chopped onion, tomatoes & olives (add shredded lettuce if desired).

    5. Cover with shredded cheese (cheddar and Monterrey Jack) mixture .

    Serve with tortilla chips.
