Brownie Batter Cupcakes

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • Combine brownie mix, eggs, ½ cup oil, and ¼ cup water in a bowl. Mix until combined, about 50 strokes. Set aside.

  • Combine cake mix and remaining ingredients. Beat on low until combines, then on medium for about 2 minutes.

  • Spoon brownie batter into lined muffin tins, filling cups about ⅓.

  • Spoon cake batter over brownie batter, filling cups about ⅔+.

  • Bake at 350°F for about 20 min (baking time will vary by oven). Cupcakes are done when you touch the top and they spring back.

  • Cool and frost with buttercream frosting.
