Mom's Baby Back Ribs
You can cook these completely in the oven or finish on the grill. Either way they still taste of summer
ingredients
- 3 Racks of Baby Back Ribs
- 2 Large onions
- 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 3 Tablespoons Liquid Smoke
- Garlic Powder
- Seasoning Salt
- Your Favorite Barbecue Sauce
directions
- 1
Place rib side down on aluminum foil lined pans. Cut onions into slivers (I use a mandolyn) and separate into rings. Layer over ribs. Sprinkle ribs with liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle with seasoning salt and garlic powder.
- 2
Bake in low oven 250 to 300 degrees, for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Watch to see if they are cooking evenly and rotate in oven if necessary.
- 3
Once they are tender, drain fat from trays. Flip over to baste sauce on underside of ribs. Turn back meat side up and baste with sauce. These can then be put on the grill to carmalize the sauce or you can continue to cook them in the oven for another 30 minutes or so. I cut racks into 3 or 4 rib sections and serve in big bowl with wet wash cloths on the side.
notes
You can cook as many or as few ribs as you desire. Great the next day!
