BEEF STROGANOFF HAMBURGER DINNER IN A SKILLET
ingredients
- 1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Essence, recipe follows
- 2 Tbs. Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup chopped Onion
- 2 cups sliced White Button Mushrooms
- 2 tsp. chopped Garlic
- 1/2 lb. Wide Egg Noodles, cooked 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 2 cups Beef Broth
- Optional for thickening:
- 1 extra cup Beef Broth
- 2 Tbs. Flour
- Emeril’s ESSENSE Seasoning, thoroughly combine the following:
- 2 1/2 Tbs. Paprika
- 2 Tbs. Salt
- 2 Tbs. Garlic Powder
- 1 Tbs Black Pepper
- 1 Tbs. Onion Powder
- 1 Tbs. Cayenne Pepper
- 1 Tbs. Dried Oregano
- 1 Tbs. Dried Thyme

Season the beef with the salt, pepper, and Essence.

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned beef and cook, stirring, until well browned and all pink has disappeared. Drain off any excess oil in the skillet.

Add the onions and cook, stirring, until soft, 3-4 minutes. Add the mushrooms and garlic and cook, stirring until the mushrooms have released their juices, about 2 minutes. Add the egg noodles, 2 cups of the beef broth, and sour cream. Cook, stirring, until the mixture thickens slightly, 5-6 minutes.

If you desire, the mixture can be thickened more by the following: Heat 1 cup of beef broth, stir 2 tablespoons of flour into the broth until combined, add to beef mixture, and cook, stirring, an additional 2 minutes.
