SAND COOKIES
These cookies are like mexican wedding cookies, except they are rolled into balls instead of crescents.
ingredients
- 1/2 Pound butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Confectioners’ sugar

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream the butter. Add granulated sugar, flour, nuts, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Shape into 1 inch balls with your hands. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake approximately 30 minutes until faintly browned. Roll in confectioners’ sugar when cool enough to handle, about 10 minutes.

Makes about 50 cookies.
