Herbed Spaghetti
A good homemade sauce if you want to steer away from store bought.
ingredients
- 8 oz. uncooked spaghetti
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 (8 oz) cans no salt added tomato sauce
- 1 (14.5 oz) can no salt added whole tomatoes, cut up
- 2 T. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp dried basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves
- 1 tsp dried parsley
directions
Cook spaghetti to desired doneness. Dreain; keep warm. Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned and onion is tender; drain. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 25 minutes. To serve, spoon sauce over hot cooked spaghetti.
