Josie's Chanukah Cookies
ingredients
- 4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 lb soft butter or margarine
- 2 cups sugar (can use 1.5 cups)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla or 2 tbsp grated orange rind
- 1/4 cup milk

Sift together flour, bp, soda and salt

Combine butter, sugar, eggs and flavouring

Cream on high speed for 2 minutes

Turn to slow speed, add milk and flour mix gradually, beating until blended

Refrigerate till dough is easy to handle

Set oven to 375 degrees to pre-heat

Roll dough on lightly floured surface

Cut with cutters

Bake about 12 minutes
