Chicken Paprikas

ingredients

  • 1 Whole Chicken, skinned
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt, divided
  • 1/2 tsp. Pepper, divided
  • olive oil
  • 2 C. Chopped Onion
  • 1/2 C. Chicken Broth
  • 1 1/2 Hungarian Sweet Paprika
  • 2 TBS All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 C.Sour Cream
  • 4 C. Egg Noodles or Spatzle

    Sprinkle Chicken with 1/4 tsp. of salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Heat Dutch Oven coated with olive oil over medium high heat, add chicken cook 6 minutes or until lightly golden brown, remove chicken from pan. Add Onion, saute 5 minutes or until lightly browned. return Chicken to pan stir in broth and cover. Reduce heat, simmer 30 min. or until chicken is done. Remove from heat

    Place Flour in a small bowl add sour cream stirring well with a whisk, gradually stir in sour cream mixture, 1/4tsp. salt and 12/4 tsp. pepper into chicken mixture cook over low heat 5 minutes or until thick stirring occasionally. Serve with noodles or spatzle

this will go great with Red Wine.
