Brunch - French Toast
ingredients
- 1Cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 C butter
- 3 eggs
- 2 Tbsp lite corn syrup
- 2 large tart apples peeled and sliced
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 9 slices day-old bread (French bread is best)

Cook brown sugar, butter and syrup until thick (5-7 minutes).

Pour into ungreased 13x9 baking pan. Arrange apples on top. Mix eggs, milk, and vanilla. Dip bread into egg mixture and place over the apples.

Cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove 30 minutes before baking and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
