Gina's English Trifle
ingredients
- 1 box Angel Food Cake Mix
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 3 cups whole milk or fat free half & half
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pint heavy whipping cream
- Brandy
- Grand Marnier
- Sherry
- Raspberry jam
- Fresh Berries (strawberry, raspberries, blueberries etc..)

Prepare cake mix as directed and cool completely.

Blend egg yolks, sugar, corn starch and milk together in medium sauce pan over medium heat stirring consistently until boiling to make a thick custard. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Chill until cold.

Whip heavy whipping cream until stiff and stir together with cold cold pudding.

Combine equal parts of Brandy, Grand Marnier and Sherry to make 1/2 cup.

Cut cake into 4 layers. Paint bowl with raspberry jam. Layer cake, drizzle liquor on top cake and then layer custard and berries. End with custard on top and decorate as you wish.
