Jessic’s warm your belly chili is a healthy comfort food on a Winter day.

ingredients

  • Jessica’s Famous Chili
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 1 cup finely chopped red and green peppers
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 4 tsp chili powder (depends on how spicy your chili powder is, if really spicy add half that)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 Tbls chopped cilantro
  • 14 1/2 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth (or 3/4 cup water and 1 cube chicken bullion)
  • 1/2-1 pound meat (whatever you like I usually use lean turkey burger, it’s really yummy)

    -Add all ingredients except toppings into crock pot back on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.

    Top with cheese, cilantro, and sour cream
