"Gourmet" Ramen Noodle Salad
For the most refined palettes.
ingredients
- SALAD:
- 1 head Napa Chinese cabbage, shredded (or any cabbage will do)
- 5 green onions, chopped (tops included)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 (2 1/2 oz.) pkg. Ramen noodles, broken up
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup almonds (sliced)
- DRESSING:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup salad oil or olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
directions
Shred cabbage and combine with onions. Set aside. Brown noodles, sesame seeds and almonds in butter and drain on paper towel (be careful not to burn). Mix dressing and chill. Assemble approximately 20 minutes before serving.
