Wesley Chocolate Fudge Cake

  • 4 Squares Unsweetened Chocolate
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • 1 3/4 Cup sugar
  • 1 2/3 Cup flour(preferably cake flour)
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • 3/4 Cup milk plus 5 tablespoons
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla

    1. Melt chocolate over water in double boiler (or a top of a larger saucepan with very hot water), add 1/2 cup of the sugar. Cool.

    2. Sift flour, add Baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Set aside.

    3. Cream butter and 1 1/4 cup sugar for 6 to 10 minutes

    3. Add eggs one at a time. Then add in dry ingredients (do not over mix.)

    4. Add chocolate mixture and remaining 5 tablespoons milk.

    5. Bake in two 9 inch pans (greased and floured) for 30 minutes at 350.
