Jam -Strawberry
How to make homemade strawberry jam.
ingredients
- 8 c. strawberries, hulled
- 8 c. sugar
- 2 packages fruit pectin
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 4 T. lemon juice
- sterilized pint jars & lids (not rings)

In a large bowl mash strawberries with masher, add sugar, stir and allow to sit for 10 minutes.

In a small saucepan combine pectin and water, bring to boil for 1 full minutes stirring frequently, remove from heat. Pour into berry mixture, add lemon juice and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Spoon jam into clean sterile jars, leaving 1/2" head space. Wipe rims & cover with melted paraffin wax and allow to harden. Screw on lids to seal.
