Simple Pork Tenderloin
This is my #1 way to cook a boneless pork loin because it’s ALWAYS moist and tender. It’s foolproof!
ingredients
- 1 boneless pork tenderloin roast rubbed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
- Possible Marinade:
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce.
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced.
- 2 tsp ginger
- 3/4 cup of honey.
- 3/4 cup of sesame seeds.
- Possible Rub:
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
directions
- 1
Determine the EXACT weight of roast from the meat wrapper. Weight will determine how long to cook the roast.
- 2
Preheat oven to 500-550 degrees. Remove tenderloin from refrigerator. Season meat as desired. Place seasoned meat in an uncovered roasting pan.
- 3
Bake EXACTLY 5 1/2 minutes PER POUND. (Example: pork is 3.25lbs so cook for about 17.5 mins)
- 4
Turn oven OFF and DO NOT open oven door for 1 hour.
- 5
After 1 hour, remove tenderloin from oven and let rest 5 minutes to redistribute internal juices. Roast will be done, very slightly pink in the center, and very moist.
- 6
If a marinade was used, heat the residual marinade in a skillet to thicken and use for a sauce to drizzle over the tenderloin.
notes
Cinnamon Apples or apple sauce go best as a side dish for this entree. Many restaurants actually serve cooked apples ON the meat itself.
