South Beach Baked Custard

ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup splenda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 12oz can evaporated skim mild
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • nutmeg and/or cinnamon

    Preheat oven to 350°

    Combine eggs, splenda and salt in mixing bowl. Add milk, water and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Pour into 9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon.

    Fill 13x9 baking pan with 1 inch hot water. Place custard pan in center of water. Bake for 35-40 minutes (until knife inserted in center comes out clean). Remove from water to cool.

    Refrigerate until ready to serve.

    Yummy both warm or cold.
