Sugar cookies (for cookie cutters)

The perfect sugar cookie for rolling and cutting out shapes with kids.
ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening (butter flavor)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 t. vanilla
- 3 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 t. salt
- 2 t. baking powder
- 1 t. baking soda
directions
Cream the wet ingredients well. Add the dry ingredients, mix well. Form into a ball, roll out to quarter to half inch thick, cut into shapes. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes, until edges are brown. Frost and decorate when cool.
