Chocolate Sheet Cake
ingredients
- 2 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ICING
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 6 T milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 box confectioners sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350° Grease and flour 15 1/2x10 1/2x1 jelly roll pan

Combine flour, sugar and salt. Boil butter, water and cocoa; stir constantly, be sure to not let it burn. Pour over dry mixture and stir well. Add eggs, buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla to above mixture. Mix well.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes. During last 5 minutes of baking prepare icing and pour over cake as soon as it comes from the oven.

Heat butter, milk and cocoa over low heat--don’t boil. Remove from heat and add confectioners sugar, pecans and vanilla Mix well and pour over cake as it comes from oven.
