Alabama-Style Shrimp Bake

ingredients

  • 1 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp coarse ground pepper
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/8 tsp red pepper
  • 1 Tbsp hot sauce
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 1/2 lbs large or jumbo shrimp, unpeeled
  • 2 thinly sliced lemons
  • 1 thinly sliced onion
  • Garnish - fresh rosemary sprigs

    Combine first 9 ingredients in a small bowl.

    Rinse Shrimp and drain well. Layer Shrimp, Lemon slices, and Onion slices in an ungreased large baking dish. Pour butter mixture over the shrimp.

    Bake uncovered at 400 for 25 minutes or until shrimp are turned pink. Bast occasionally with pan juices.

  • 4

    Garnish if desired.
